Woke up early and decided to hang out with Sadie Lincoln for a 60 min @barre3 workout. I love being able to do a barre workout in the comfort of my own home. (at Plant 51)

First world problems
I had a bad week. Every single day this week, something at work went wrong. Even my Friday workday ended on a sour note.
But, a little perspective is all it takes to snap out of it. I stopped complaining the minute I saw a photo of a 3 year old washed up on a beach in Turkey. He died, along with most of his family, trying to escape from Syria.
I can’t get that image out of my head. I couldn’t help but imagine MY 3 year old boy’s face on that poor little body.
I had a frustrating week, but not really a bad one. A bad one is living in dangerous conditions. In a place where terrorist attacks happen every day. Where your only option for escaping your country is by boat where you know your family may die leaving or staying.
One of my friends posted a link to a video about an organization, The Migrant Offshore Aid Station, that patrols the Mediterranean for migrants at sea and helps provide safe transit. They say that since January, the death toll of migrants at sea is thirty times what it was last year. Here’s the video to learn more about what they are doing to help these people. https://www.facebook.com/ajplusenglish/videos/567752156699629/
I am giving my kid tighter than normal hugs after seeing that image.
I hope and pray for peace in these areas and assistance for those who wish to leave. May they do so safely.
Look at this cute card Nolan’s preschool made to commemorate our camp out last Friday. Just noticed the elmer’s glue – we were making nature crafts. (at San Jose Day Nursery)
Proud mom brag: it may be backwards (written from right to left, in the correct order though), but the kid said this morning, “Look Mommy! I wrote my name!”
Lying on the couch totally #spent after this weekend. All fun stuff but am excited for a shower and going to sleep in my own bed. #facelessselfie (at Plant 51)
Same weekend, different camp site. Camping part 2. #aplaceforgrace (at Mt. Cross Ministries)
First s’more (at San Jose Day Nursery)
Daycare family camp out. Yep, in the playground. And in the heart of downtown San Jose. (at San Jose Day Nursery)
Green smoothie for breakfast with this guy today (much healthier than last week Friday’s breakfast date) (at Plant 51)
Pre-school is closed today. Working from home but took this guy on a breakfast date this morning. (at Bill’s Cafe)
