Hi! I’m Aarika. I’m a wife, mom, dog mom, homeowner, and a woman with a career. With so many hats to wear and things to juggle, I’ve quickly come to realize that life is one big balancing act. This is where I share my attempt to live a balanced life and master the metaphorical art of tightrope walking. There’s also a sub-section of my blog called Pocket Lint – because sometimes you also need a good wardrobe to keep you balanced and in my mind, pockets are key.

Professionally, I’ve worked in the nonprofit field since 2003 in development and most recently as an Executive Director. Opinions expressed here are my own and do not represent any organization that I am affiliated with.

Born and raised in Hawaii, I now live in Oakland with my husband, two sons, and our family dog.
